About Me

Welcome, it is so lovely to meet you.

I'm PACFA-registered counsellor, I work with adults and couples, bringing a wealth of experience from diverse settings, including not-for-profit organizations, schools, university and private practice. I've provided support in various formats, from crisis intervention to telehealth and face-to-face counselling. I'm particularly drawn to helping people navigate relationship difficulties, attachment issues, self-esteem challenges, emotional struggles, and the everyday ups and downs of life.

I believe in a warm, empathetic, and trauma informed approach to counselling. I combine talk therapy with evidence-based practices like Strengths-Based Therapy, Attachment Theory, Trauma-Informed Care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). My focus is on understanding your unique experiences without judgment, recognising your strengths, and empowering you with practical tools for growth and resilience.

For couples, I offer a supportive space to build stronger, more fulfilling relationships. I help couples explore their concerns, improve communication, and develop greater empathy and understanding for one another. My work with couples is deeply rooted in Attachment Theory and EFCT.

If you're looking for a supportive and empowering counselling experience, I invite you to reach out today.

With an open heart and curious mind.

Therapeutic Approach

I believe in the inherent strength and resilience of every individual. My therapeutic approach is grounded in a non-pathologising perspective, meaning I focus on your strengths and resources rather than labelling or focusing solely on symptoms. I draw from a range of evidence-based therapies, including:

  • Trauma-Informed Practice: I provide a safe and supportive space for you to process and heal from past trauma, recognizing its impact on your present well-being. Fostering safety (physical and emotional), transparency, choice and collaboration.

  • Strengths-Based Approach:We'll work together to identify and build upon your existing strengths to navigate challenges and create positive change.

  • Attachment Theory: Understanding how early relationships have shaped your current relationship patterns can provide valuable insights and support healing.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): This approach helps you understand and work with the different parts within yourself, fostering self-leadership include: calmness, curiosity, clarity, compassion, confidence, creativity, courage, and connectedness.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): ACT empowers you to live a rich and meaningful life by focusing on accepting difficult emotions and committing to values-based actions.

  • Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT): For couples, offers a proven path to stronger, more fulfilling relationships. Using an attachment-based approach, EFCT helps couples understand and break free from negative communication patterns that hinder emotional connection. Together, we'll work on rebuilding trust, improving communication, and fostering deeper intimacy and understanding.

Creating a safe, non-judgmental space is paramount. I strive to build trusting relationships with my clients, working collaboratively with individuals and couples. I understand that seeking therapy can be a vulnerable step, and I'm committed to providing compassionate and personalised support throughout your journey."
